“The bad things that happens to believers isn’t because God is punishing them. It breaks God’s heart more than we can imagine. But he makes all things work together for their good.” That’s my favorite quote from the book. The writer beautifully illustrated to her readers her God is not silent during our time of pain, caused by us or others. How he shows up and does miracles for us were so beautifully illustrated in this book.
I started reading this book and dropped it for few hours because of the intensity and depth. I love books like that and I needed to prepare myself emotionally for it. My heart goes out to women who go through abuse, both emotional and physical. I can’t begin to imagine the pain they go through.
Clued from her story, Melanie crafts a beautiful story of Cassie’s abuse marital and how she fights through it.
Cassie had a childhood with issue and her marriage wasn’t any better.
But her stand to do what’s right for herself and her daughter took her through a journey filled with a lot of heart breaking events that required God’s help. I wish I had her kind of strength and wit.
Her relationship with God evolved through the cycles she had to go through and I love how her story unflods.
One of the most endearing parts of the book was the beautiful godly relationships God brought across her way from family and friends, they helped her through life’s hurdles. God never intended us to go through life alone and he plants his children along our path. This book highlights to a large extent the essence and beauty of Godly relationships in our lives.
I loved the way the essence of prayers was beautifully illustrated.
The Bible verse that says we should not be equally yoked with unbelievablers was handled so beautifully in this book.
The book was fast paced and captivating.
It handled issues that most people are careful not to handle and it was handled with clarity and honesty.
The details will keep you reading and make your heart out of against abuse of any kind.
The characters of the book were so great.
The setting of the book, especially about nature was absolutely relishing.
I recommend this book to people who loves truth and have a heart to stand up for injustice against women in abusive relationships and marriage. You’d have to read the book to appreciate it.
